About NU Asian  Lens

The Asian Lens is an initiative of NIIT University under the dynamic leadership of  Shri Harpal Singh, Mentor & Chairman Emeritus, Fortis Healthcare Ltd. & Member of Board of Management  (NU) and Padma Bhushan Shri Rajendra S Pawar, founder of NIIT University and is Chairman, NIIT Limited.

March 2013 NU Asian Lens Movement was launched as a movement involving NU Faculty, Staff and Students to create awareness and pride in the cultural, scientific, philosophical and social heritages of some of the greatest civilizations of Asia, including the Indian Civilization.

Vision

   1. To be the leading center to introduce and increase awareness about the concept of Asian  Lens.

   2. To sensitize and to create pride in Asian  heritage, culture, history, values and to present it with a contemporary perspective.

Mission

1. To develop and disseminate knowledge about the great Personalities /Thinkers of Asia.
2. To create opportunities to understand and celebrate our heritage by revisiting the contributions of peoples of Asia
3. To provide a launching pad to undertake research and to disseminate knowledge about achievements of Asia to the world
4. To stimulate reflection, discussion and debate to appreciate what being an Asian means.
