About
Chanakya
Chanakya (c. 370–283 BCE) was
professor of Economics and Political Science at Takshila University. Chanakya
managed the first Maurya emperor Chandragupta’s rise to power at a
young age. Chanakya also known as Kautilya or Vishnu Gupta is author of the ancient
Indian political treatise called Arthasastra
(Economics). Chanakya was a Teacher, Economics and Political
Science Philosopher and Royal Advisor. His works are treated as an
important precursor to classical
Economics.
