Asian Lens Initiative Committee invites you to the first talk on Asian Lens to generate awareness and appreciation in Non - Indian Communities as well as Indian Communities of Asia’s rich cultural heritage with emphasis on understanding of modern India under NIIT University Asian Lens Initiative Programme.

Objectives of the Talk

·   To introduce and familiarize the participants about the rich multicultural aspect of Indian Society
·   To enable them to be appreciative of and feel the unity and diversity around them
·   To share facts about Indian society and its characteristics
·   To share an overview from legal perspective the retention factors for multiculturalism in India context


How This Talk Will Help
This talk will help the participants 
·   To understand  the basic facts of Indian Society
·   To understand the concept of unity in diversity
·   To provide an opportunity to seek answers to questions wrt Indian multicultural mileu
·   To know the legal dimension behind unity in diversity
·   To understand from multicultural perspective India and Indians and their perspective

Speaker Details


Dr. Anuradha Parasar is Deputy Registrar & Faculty at NIIT University, Neemrana. She is Ph.D., NET (UGC), LL.B., MBA (PGDHRM), M.A. Sociology, M. Sc. Anthropology, B.A. (Additional) Sociology, B.Sc. She was Commonwealth Academic Fellow – 2012. She has presented papers at various International and National conferences and is member of various International and National Professional bodies.
